Good Vibrations: An Interview with Nikola Tesla, 1994   PDF  Print  E-mail
I tuned the dial slowly and the voice, previously only faint, emerged from the white noise of the transmitter. ? Hello?...? I asked, hesitating, ?Are you there??

Then, the voice grew stronger, as though, returning from a deep meditation, the man suddenly drew himself up and assumed the dignified composure of a scientist about to be interviewed by the world press. ?Hello,? the voice echoed with a distinct Eastern European accent, ?Good evening, and who are you??

Janet Silk: ?I am Janet Silk, Mr. Tesla, ? I replied, ?Could I speak with you?? My heart raced as I braced myself to record all I could.

Nikola Tesla: ?What I would like to say is of great importance to the whole world....?

I couldn't believe that I was really talking to him, I had to be certain.

JS: ?Could I ask you a question? Is it true that at one time you worked very closely with George Westinghouse and Thomas Edison and that you gave up ten million dollars owed to you by Westinghouse??

NT: ?We were given a great opportunity to change the course of history. It had to do with the course mankind has chosen and what it might have chosen. I showed everyone what could have been, how the world could have evolved in a very different direction. If we had thought more in terms of frequency, vibrations and energy we would have unlocked the secrets of the universe.?

JS: ?Did you ever imagine the number of networks that would be using your invention to broadcast to the entire world? Had George Westinghouse or Edison ever considered communicating with the dead??

NT: ?There are things that are important for us all to understand. About the vibrations of our bodies, the convergence of harmonies and the alternating pitch which constitutes all that we know... in fact I was talking to George a few days ago...?

JS: ?But George Westinghouse is dead.?

NT: ?And I suppose you are going to tell me that Mark Twain is dead too.?

JS: ?Well.... yes...he's been dead for eighty-four years and you passed away in 1943, which is fifty-one years ago.?

NT: ?Nonsense.?

JS: ?George Westinghouse died in 1914. ?

NT: ?I suppose you' re going to continue insisting that everyone is dead. Maybe we better stop now.?

After that remark, my connection went bad. I believe Nikola Tesla had terminated our conversation.
